Bodycam footage captured Pc Rusling telling the boy to 'get the f*** out of the way' and 'keep f***ing walking' while dragging him by his jumper. The incident occurred after the teenager, who was part of a group of six children, had called 999 reporting threats from people in a car. The Independent Office for Police Conduct stated that Pc Rusling failed to de-escalate the situation, despite the boy indicating he was missing and requesting assistance. Pc Rusling admitted one count of assault by beating in May and was sentenced on Tuesday (30 June) to an eight-week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months, and 150 hours of unpaid work.
