External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar highlighted the careers that are expected to shape the global workforce in the coming years while addressing the Human Resource Mobility Forum. He said advances in AI and automation will transform labour markets, while the green economy will create new opportunities. Emphasising the growing demand for healthcare and caregiving services due to ageing populations, Jaishankar remarked that ‘the silver economy is as important as the tech one.’ He also called for stronger international cooperation, continuous upskilling, and better recognition of qualifications to prepare workers for the jobs of tomorrow.
