Bengaluru's monsoon woes are being countered by a remarkable five-storey rooftop forest, cultivated by engineer Venkataraman. This 600-square-foot space hosts over 100 plant varieties, mimicking a natural forest's interconnected root system for stability. Beyond producing food and attracting wildlife, it harvests 80% of rainwater, cools surroundings by up to 4°C, and improves air quality, showcasing urban potential for ecological resilience.
