BWF shifts India Open Super 750 to February 2027; tournament returns to traditional January slot in 2028

The India Open Super 750 badminton tournament is moving to February for the 2027 season, from February 2-7 in New Delhi, due to player concerns about air quality and venue conditions in January. It will revert to its traditional January slot in 2028. The BWF is also introducing a new 3x15 scoring system and a revamped format for Super 1000 events to modernize the sport.
