South-East Leaders Reject Tinubu Govt's Handover Of Enugu International Airport To Private Firm

Some South-East leaders under the aegis of Igbo Leaders of Thought (ILT), a prominent assembly of intellectuals, traditional rulers and stakeholders, have rejected the transfer of the management of Akanu Ibiam International Airport (AIIA) Enugu State to a private company by the President Bola Tinubu-led government. The South-East leaders described the action of the Tinubu administration as another grave act of injustice against Ndigbo in Nigeria and further escalation of the prolonged marginalisation of the South-East region in the affairs of the nation.
