In May 2009, a man collecting recycling was digging through a dumpster at an apartment complex in Union City, about 30 miles south of San Francisco, and discovered the body of a newborn baby girl, SFGate reported.Onduto was initially a possible person of interest due to being in her 30s, but authorities could not charge her until new DNA technology and a Costco receipt linked her to the crime. After her arrest last year, Onduto's medical license was revoked, and she pleaded no contest to the charges in April. Onduto’s lawyers argued the case had nothing to do with her career as a physical therapist, and that she had “labored for hours overnight and gave birth alone in her bathtub, then drowned the baby almost immediately post-partum,” according to The Mercury News.In fullHow a Costco receipt helped tie a woman to the death of a baby found in a dumpster in CaliforniaThank you for registeringPlease refresh the page or navigate to another page on the site to be automatically logged inPlease refresh your browser to be logged in
