CIP reaches commercial ops at 220-MW Chilean battery

Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP) said today that its 220-MW/1,100-MWh Arena battery energy storage system (BESS) in the Atacama Desert in Northern Chile has reached its commercial operation date (COD) and now supplies electricity to the grid.
