Supergirl fails to lift off in opening weekend in latest blow to DC Studios

Supergirl, which has a $170 million budget, also received poor reviews, scoring 56 per cent on Rotten Tomatoes' Tomatometer. The film faced strong competition from Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5, which maintained the top spot with $70 million in its second weekend.
