DCRO team leader Olly Rees purchased a bottle of Fairy washing-up liquid, which was then used as a lubricant to help slide Shannon's leg free from the rocks. Rescuers hailed the washing-up liquid as the 'real hero' of the operation, stating it 'made all the difference' in freeing the girl, who escaped unhurt.
