The Russian occupation authorities closed the Kerch Bridge to traffic from 23:51 on 25 June until 06:14 on 26 June. By the morning, 2,500 vehicles were waiting to go through checks on both sides of the crossing.

Authorities closed the Kerch Bridge for more than five hours amid reports of explosions and attacks on fuel infrastructure.

Satellite images taken on 24 June show traffic jams stretching for over 10 km at the approaches to the Kerch Bridge, involving an estimated 1,500 vehicles.
