According to one family member, the Shin Bet chief apologized that the families learned of his order to remove the memorial for agency memebrs killed on Oct. 7 from a Haaretz report. He has also reportedly said that there should be no distinction between those killed during the Hamas attack and other agency personnel killed on duty
