Nominations for the Parliamentary Labour Party will open on Thursday, 9 July, with hustings for MPs and peers scheduled for Monday, 13 July. Labour affiliates, including trade unions and socialist societies, will submit their candidate nominations between 15 and 16 July. If only one candidate secures the required nominations, they will be confirmed as leader at a special conference on Friday, 17 July. Should multiple candidates emerge, local Labour branches will nominate between 20 and 31 July, followed by a member ballot from 6 to 27 August, with the result announced on 29 August.
