Funding gaps threaten future of Black women in chartered accountancy

Funding shortages, limited mentorship and persistent inequality are restricting the entry of young Black women into South Africa’s chartered accountancy profession, according to African Women Chartered Accountants (AWCA). The organisation warns that despite progress in transformation, financial exclusion continues to weaken one of the country’s key pipelines for future financial and corporate leadership.
