The court heard that Desborough dismembered the men's bodies, with parts of Mr Coleman's body found in a shallow grave and 1,900 burned bone fragments believed to be from Mr Aquilino discovered in Paramoor Woods, Cornwall, where Desborough lived. Desborough has previously pleaded guilty to preventing the lawful burial of both men's bodies, but he denies the murder charges. Following the disappearances of Mr Aquilino and Mr Coleman, Desborough allegedly accessed and spent money from their bank accounts. The prosecution highlighted that Desborough, a fan of the TV series Dexter, reportedly told a fellow resident he 'particularly enjoyed the dismemberment scenes' from the show.
