We’re Suffering, Dying, Dependent On Public Sympathy After Serving For Decades – Nigerian Police Retirees

The Police Retired Officers Forum (PROF) in Nigeria has threatened to resort to lawlessness over pension-related grievances. The National Coordinator of PROF, retired Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Raphael Irowainu, disclosed this in a statement sent to SaharaReporters. In the statement, which was attached with pictures of sick, abandoned and suffering retired policemen, Irowainu demanded the removal of the Nigeria Police Force from the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) and urged President Bola Tinubu to sign the Police Exit Bill into law.
