Coronation Street viewers have finally discovered the identity of Theo Silverton’s killer, with behind-the-scenes footage showing how the dramatic murder unfolded. A two-month-long whodunnit has been unfolding in the cobbles after Silverton, played by James Cartwright, died back in April. On Monday (22 June), it was revealed that he was killed by Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien), who hit him over the head with a metal pole as they were standing on scaffolding, falling to his death. Behind-the-scenes footage released by ITV shows Cartwright and O’Brien filming the pivotal moment. O’Brien admitted that she was scared she would accidentally hit her co-star with the pipe. “Because then that could be an actual real murder,” Cartwright laughed.
