‘World-Class cruise handling’: Chennai Port begins 21-voyage cruise season with MV Empress

According to the Chennai Port Authority, the arrival of the luxury cruise vessel MV Empress marks the start of a 21-voyage cruise season from Chennai over the next three months. The Port Authority and the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways said Chennai Port handled about 3,600 passengers during a single-day operation, while the expanded itinerary will connect the city with destinations in India and Sri Lanka.
