Temperatures continue to rise in Switzerland, and in light of the heatwave warnings, teachers’ unions are calling for nationwide measures.

The area around Lake Neuchatel, Lake Biel and Lake Murten, along with the central Valais and the Lake Geneva regions have all moved to a high-risk level, said MeteoSwiss.

The heatwave danger level was raised from 3 to 4 across much of canton Ticino on Wednesday.
