Jeanine Pirro announced federal charges against 14 defendants accused of operating a large-scale cocaine trafficking network near an elementary school in Washington, D.C. The investigation led to 20 arrests, the seizure of drugs and firearms, and involved more than 500 law enforcement officers from the FBI, DEA, MPD, and other agencies. Pirro vowed to seek the toughest penalties possible and called for stronger child protection laws after revealing evidence of drug sales taking place near young children.
