Lucknow coaching fire tragedy: CM Yogi meets victims' families, announces Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia

At least 15 people, including children, have died in a massive fire that broke out at a commercial building in Lucknow's Aliganj area on Monday. The blaze prompted a large-scale rescue operation. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed senior officials to rush to the spot and review the rescue and relief operations. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the loss of lives, announced ₹5 lakh ex gratia for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured. Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had announced an ex gratia of ₹2 lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) for the next of kin of each deceased, while the injured would receive ₹50,000.
