Karnataka govt. orders tough measures to make State drug-free

Home Minister Priyank Kharge on Monday directed officials to take stringent measures to curb the drug menace and protect youth from substance abuse, asserting that the State government is committed to building a drug-free Karnataka. Chairing a high-level review meeting at Vikasa Soudha, attended by Chief Secretary Shalini Rajneesh, senior police officers and heads of various departments, Mr. Kharge stressed the need for coordinated action involving law enforcement agencies, educational institutions, local bodies and technology-driven governance systems.
