The thick, noxious smoke billowing out of a warehouse in Los Angeles has turned into a fixture in the city’s skyline for almost a week – with no end in sight.

Smoke concerns are growing as firefighters continue battling a massive cold storage warehouse fire in Boyle Heights that officials say remains highly complex.

“The smell of smoke has reached most of the city,” the Los Angeles Fire Department said in a statement as efforts to extinguish the blaze continued.
