The former chairman of the Federal Reserve died on June 22nd, aged 100

The influential economist died Monday from complications of Parkinson’s disease, said his wife of 29 years, NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell.

Alan Greenspan presided over the Federal Reserve for 19 years under four presidents and mastered the art of obfuscation known as Fedspeak.
