Tennis legend Serena Williams is making a sensational return to Wimbledon singles after a four-year hiatus, having been granted the final wildcard. The seven-time champion, who recently played doubles after an extended break, will add a significant storyline to the Grand Slam. Williams, widely considered the greatest female player, last competed in singles at Wimbledon in 2022.

Williams, 44, played her last singles match at the 2022 U.S. Open, just under four years ago.

Serena Williams, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, received a women’s singles wild-card entry at Wimbledon on Sunday.
