Scheffler wird auf der Schlussrunde gemeinsam mit Clark unterwegs sein, der die US Open bereits vor drei Jahren in Los Angeles gewinnen konnte.Nicht mehr dabei war im Shinnecock Hills Golf Club 150 Kilometer östlich von New York der deutsche Profi Matti Schmid.
