A teenage tourist's death revived debate that divided animal welfare advocates, carriage operators, city leaders

A teenager thrown to the ground Wednesday when a Central Park carriage horse bolted away from its driver has died, according to police.

The teen was critically injured after falling from a horse carriage and was later pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
