Congress opposes Goa govt circular mandating Yoga Day attendance for students, teachers

Goa's Congress party has urged the State Education department to retract its directive making Yoga Day participation mandatory for students and teachers. Party chief Girish Chodankar argued that yoga should be a personal choice, not a compulsory obligation, especially on a Sunday. However, the BJP's Dr. Sneha Bhagwat countered that the circular promotes health and well-being, allowing participation at any convenient location, and highlighted yoga's extensive health benefits.
