Kailash Mansarovar Yatra commences as first batch of pilgrims cross into China via Nathu La Pass

Sikkim has commenced the 2026 Kailash Mansarovar Yatra with the first batch of 44 pilgrims crossing into China via Nathu La Pass. Flagged off by Governor Om Prakash Mathur, the group, comprising individuals from across India, received a send-off after thorough logistical and medical preparations. The annual pilgrimage, significant for Hindus, Jains, and Buddhists, is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs through both Uttarakhand and Sikkim routes.
