'Indian talent is valued globally': Jaishankar says India's passport revolution powers workforce

He noted that passport issuance has grown from 83 lakh annually in 2014 to over 1.38 crore in FY26, while passport service centres expanded from 77 to 544 across the country. Jaishankar said the Passport Seva Programme 2.0, global rollout of digital services and biometric e-passports have made mobility easier for Indians, supporting rising global demand for Indian talent.
