Constable booked for duping diamond trader of ₹15.5 lakh

According to the complaint, Sion resident and diamond merchant Suryaji Tukaram Sonawane was allegedly cheated of diamonds worth ₹1.25 crore by another trader, Ravi Jain, four years ago. An FIR was registered at D.B. Marg police station, and while diamonds worth ₹50 lakh were recovered, the remaining ₹75 lakh could not be traced. Jain was later released on bail. | Mumbai news
