Construction giant Lendlease has slammed accounting firm KPMG over claims confidential client documents were misused, as a parliamentary hearing into the scandal is held on Friday.

As internal documents undermine the firm’s defence, it has initiated an urgent data purge and mandatory compliance training to restore client trust.

KPMG has defied an order to hand over documents on data misuse, arguing it could compromise staff facing an ASIC probe. Senator O’Neill blasted the move.
