The Calcutta High Court has not granted immediate relief to the Trinamool Congress regarding the Speaker's decision. Expelled MLA Ritabrata Banerjee will continue as Leader of Opposition. The court has asked for responses from respondents. The case will be heard again on July 28. The TMC had nominated Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay for the post.
