New York is celebrating the Knicks in classic style. The city is throwing a ticker-tape parade Thursday for the team that brought home the NBA championship that fans have longed for since 1973.

Thursday’s ticker-tape parade down Manhattan’s Canyon of Heroes may be the biggest in city history.

The New York Knicks' ticker-tape parade will be a first. The new NBA champions have won the title before, in 1970 and ’73.
