Ms Senner, employed by Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust, made the comments during a routine appointment in August 2023 and gave the patient a leaflet linking to an anti-vaccination website. The patient, identified as 'Patient A', was undergoing chemotherapy and described feeling vulnerable and distressed by the nurse's 'direct and definitive claim'. The Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) misconduct panel found four out of six charges proven, ruling that Ms Senner attempted to undermine public confidence in health advice. Ms Senner was also found to have accessed numerous patient records without authorisation, noting the reason as 'research' shortly after Covid vaccines were rolled out.
