Nigeria has spent a sum of N23billion importing crude palm oil from fellow West African countries within three months, a SaharaReporters' review of data provided by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has shown. Nigeria is widely regarded as the largest producer of palm oil in Africa and one of the leading producers globally. The United States Department of Agriculture also lists Nigeria as one of the top ten producers of Palm oil in the world.
