Four new "Namo Cities" will be developed across the NCR with Rs 5,000 crore in central assistance over five years. The existing NCR boundary will remain unchanged despite state concerns. These new urban hubs, selected through a challenge process, aim to manage rapid population growth and promote balanced development.
