Fadnavis shares 701-km Freight Rail Corridor vision as Vaishnaw inaugurates Jabil’s new facility

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has proposed a 701-km dedicated rail freight corridor connecting JNPT and the upcoming Vadhvan Port with the Samruddhi Expressway. The project aims to link ports, dry ports, and industrial hubs across Maharashtra, reducing logistics costs to 7-8% and strengthening the state's role in global supply chains. Speaking alongside Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at Jabil India's new facility launch in Pune, Fadnavis also highlighted Gadchiroli's emergence as a future steel hub, while Vaishnaw stressed the importance of economic and structural reforms to accelerate manufacturing growth.
