According to the US leader, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has "done an amazing job of pulling it together," is "very good with Hezbollah"

Speaking on June 7 about developments in Lebanon to NBC's Meet the Press, President Trump suggested that Syria could help facilitate “more surgical” strikes against Hezbollah.

"If Israel can't do the job without killing everyone else, Syria should do the job," said US President Donald Trump in a bilateral meeting with the Emir of the State of Qatar.

Trump said he told Israel that Syria should "take care" of Hezbollah because he believes "they'd do a better job of doing it."
