A doula who stopped practising after Melbourne woman Stacey Warnecke died in childbirth has told an inquest it was not her role to make a birth safer.

The inquest into the death of a 30-year-old Victorian mum Stacey Warnecke has been told she died from blood loss after she opted for a “free birth”.

Stacey Warnecke, 30, died from a treatable complication after giving birth without any trained medical staff, an inquest hears
