The UK has announced it will join Australia with a sweeping social media ban for under-16s.

The U.K. seems to be following Australia's lead in banning a wide swath of social media for teens.

The U.K. plans to ban children under 16 from TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other social platforms, marking one of the world's toughest crackdowns on teen social media use.

The British government has announced a total, nationwide ban on social media access for children under the age of 16.

There may even be a online curfew for under-18s too.

Following in the footsteps of Australia and Canada.
