A federal judge who was disciplined after an investigation found she engaged in sexual activity with a police officer in her chambers and then lied about it has issued an apology to a former law clerk for her "harmful, offensive, and unprofessional behavior."

A federal judge found to have had sex in her chambers in earshot of her staff has apologized to a former law clerk for her “harmful, offensive, and unprofessional behavior.”

Eleanor Ross wrote an apology letter for falsely accusing the clerk who exposed her conduct of poor work attitude.
