Two booked for cheating retired teacher of ₹16 lakh on promise of govt. job for son

Police here have registered a case against two persons who cheated a retired teacher of ₹16 lakh by promising to get a government job for his son in Karaikudi. The police said Subramanian, a retired teacher residing in Pari Nagar, Karaikudi, was promised by Ganesan, a resident of the same area, and Muthukrishnan, a resident of Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli, that they would get his son a job as Principal’s Assistant at Chettinad Government Polytechnic College.
