Passenger footfall at Agartala's MBB airport has almost doubled in 12 years, official says

Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport in Agartala has seen passenger numbers nearly double over the past 12 years. This growth is attributed to the introduction of more flights to various cities. The airport now handles approximately 5,000 passengers daily. Efforts are underway to introduce direct flights to Mumbai and Chennai. The airport is also prepared for international flight operations.
