David Hockney tribute interrupted by on-air expletive as BBC presenter issues apology

A BBC presenter was forced to apologise when a guest delivering a tribute to David Hockney accidentally swore live on air. On Thursday (11 June), the iconic British artist passed away peacefully at home at the age of 88, his representatives said in a statement. During an appearance on BBC News on Friday (12 June) Scarlett Clark, the granddaughter of Hockney's muse Celia Birtwell, was asked what life advice Hockney gave her. “Enjoy, paint what you love and f*** everyone,” she declared, before immediately realising the blunder. Matthew Amroliwala quickly apologised to viewers for the curse word, with Birtwell also saying sorry.
