New York Governor Kathy Hochul is pushing back against White House Border Czar Tom Homan after he threatened to increase ICE operations in New York City in response to new state immigration laws.

Gov. Kathy Hohul in May signed a New York law that barred agreements with ICE that made it easier for the agency to detain immigrants who had been jailed.

Trump’s border czar vowed to deploy “more ICE agents than you have ever seen” in the city after another clash with Governor Hochul.
