CCTV footage shows the shocking moment a worker fell 20ft through an “invisible” warehouse roof skylight. James Cranswick, 26, was installing temporary scaffolding edge protection for Clover Access Systems Limited at a warehouse at Acre Mills in Keighley, West Yorkshire, when he fell through the skylight in January 2025. Footage shows Mr Cranswick hitting the floor as his colleagues rushed to his aid. The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) said the incident was "wholly avoidable" and that Mr Cranswick is “lucky to be alive”. He suffered a broken arm, leg and a head injury. Clover Access System Ltd and STM360 Ltd, both based in Castleford, have pleaded guilty to breaching construction regulations. They have been fined a combined total of £79,300.
