Finnish energy storage startup Granarium Technologies has raised more than EUR 1 million (USD 1.16m) in pre-seed funding to commercialise a renewable supercapacitor technology developed for grid stabilisation and industrial power applications, according to an announcement by Finland's state-owned research organisation VTT.

Backed by BSV Ventures and Beamline, the company is industrialising renewable supercapacitors made from locally sourced materials for grid and industrial applications.
