Not speaking to wife for 13 days is not cruelty, Supreme Court acquits husband in suicide case

NEW DELHI: The Supreme Court has set aside the conviction of a husband under Section 498A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), holding that not communicating with one's spouse for a few days cannot, by itself, amount to cruelty under the law.
