Karnataka minister MB Patil seeks restoration of Bengaluru–Shivamogga flights under UDAN

Karnataka Infrastructure Development Minister MB Patil has requested the Union government to reintroduce the Bengaluru-Shivamogga air route in the next UDAN bidding. This route is vital for the economic and tourism growth of central Karnataka and the Malnad region. Flight services were suspended recently. The minister seeks Viability Gap Funding to make the route commercially viable and resume operations.
