Mulilo closes financing for 77-MW/308-MWh BESS project in S Africa

South African renewables developer and independent power producer Mulilo has reached financial close on the 77-MW/308-MWh Hartebeesfontein battery energy storage system (BESS) project in North West province, the firm said on Thursday, as it took its fifth project to the financing stage since the start of 2026.
